The right place, at the right time
**I want to preface this post by letting you know that I am dictating the entry to you. I apologize in advance for any we are grammatical errors.**
If you guys ever checked out the right-hand column of this blog, you will see an item for a blog that's called "something she wrote". Janna wrote this really interesting blog entry early last month. He talked about frustration with getting up to writing, and signs that she should be writing. Her blog entry is really inspiring and I really believe that she was given a sign to get her butt into the chair and churn out a story. It is one month later and I believe she is doing great with it.
As most of you know, I am doing research for Spirit hackers before I begin writing it. This is part of my rewrite process that I've been going through for about a month now, in order to make sure the story is the best story that I can write. So far, I've hashed out almost all the plot and all of the back story. I've even mentioned that there are a few key items I'm still trying to figure out. Well, it seems I received a similar sign that Janna received, earlier today.
Now, of course I don't want to give away too much, because I don't want to let too much of my story "get out there" so I will need to be somewhat vague. This morning I woke up, I didn't think I would be doing any research but I decided to just surf the Internet a little, just see what's going on out there in the world of news. When I got to a certain website, one particular news story caught my attention. I didn't think much about it at first, but only about 15 minutes later when I decided to do some research today, I think that I thought back to that website I visited. I reread the article, and a lightbulb went on. I think I was just given a sign.
The article is right up the alley of what I am trying to research, and more importantly it is actually a breakthrough article to help me figure out what I am trying to do. While the article was short, he could give some information that I was able to use to do further research on websites such as Wikipedia, CNN, and some other sites that I will intentionally be vague about. The one-page article had turned into a bout an hour and a half worth of research. I'm crossing my fingers, but I am hopeful that I may have found a breakthrough I needed. If this does turn out to be what I needed, I think my research may be done within only a few short days. We shall see.
I just wanted to give a shout out to Janna, and let everyone know that her inspiration was an inspiration to me!
